Jerome "Junkyard" Williams

Global Sports Ambassador, Prominent Athlete, Respected Businessman, Family Man, Gentleman & Philanthropist

Williams is a renowned athlete, global traveler and popular businessman with an impeccable reputation and mega heart. He is known for his professionalism and the willingness to readily give back to those less fortunate.  Among his many accomplishments is his General Manager Certification by Sport Management Worldwide, official certification to operate an NBA team.

Williams led the league in rebounding percentage in 2000 and was ranked 3rd overall in offensive rating. He also collected three NBA Community Awards throughout his career. Whether on the court, in the home, in the community or in the classroom, he provides 100% effort and now inspires students, players, executives around the world to do the same.

During his 9 year career he effectively engaged in a broad spectrum of roles and responsibilities;  an NBA starter, an NBA rebounder, a community advocate, and NBA Players Union representative. In 2000, Jerome was selected by other NBA players to serve an executive role as their union vice president. Jerome cultivated a starring role as NBA Cares ambassador, NBA TV correspondent, NBA Fit spokesman and NBA Goodwill Ambassador to South Africa, Israel, South America, Shanghai, Philippines, Beijing and Bahrain. His community efforts gained him national media exposure, humanitarian and community service awards, and 2 special invitations to dine at the White House during the George W. Bush administration. For William’s efforts to prepare high school seniors and college students with life skills for independent living in 2011 he was named

“Sports Ambassador” to the TDSB (Toronto District School Board).  The Fannie Mae Foundation awarded him with their national “Home Team” award.  As a show of his commitment to business, Williams was invited to ring the stock bell for New York Stock Exchange and Toronto Stock Exchange.

Now retired from grabbing rebounds and exciting NBA fans, he remains busier than ever serving as President of URBAN AUTO Holdings, llc and focusing on his children’s charity efforts

Williams is a prolific speaker and prides himself on being able to deliver contagious enthusiasm on multiple topics.  He is a certified driver for a tractor trailer.

Williams has conducted many workshops for corporate conferences, executive/staff trainings, university lectures, NCAA team building workshops and NBA player transition coaching.
Williams Is the proud father of 3 children and married to his longtime love, Nikkollette Williams.

Action Statement:

The JYD Project will raise and issue funds to initiate programs that will service 1,000,000 youth and adults. Youth throughout North America shall benefit through community partnerships endorsed by former NBA star & Community Ambassador Jerome “Junk Yard Dog” Williams. Each year the project will introduce JYD Trademarked programs that maximize the involvement of celebrities and a community coming together. From Feeding the Homeless children during Thanksgiving, Toy drives for XMAS and Car Rallies, JYD stays busy with his team to inspire youth & adults all over the world.
